Happy 4th of July Annapolis Style Part 3 : The Fireworks Show

I think the most distinctive part of Fourth of July is the fireworks show!

Almost very town/area has its own fireworks in the evening. In Annapolis, the fireworks are shot off a barge in the middle of Annapolis Harbor. We decided to watch the fireworks display from the grounds of the US Naval Academy. There was a long line to get in because IDs had to be checked and everyone had to go through a metal detector. The fireworks started right before we got in, so once we cleared the security, we dashed to the grassy area by the water.

For being the fireworks show for this nation's old capital and the home of our Naval Academy, the fireworks show did not disappoint! Although I do agree with one of the guys in my lab that the fireworks could have had a better organization in terms of which fireworks went off when, because it seemed like who ever was shooting them off did it randomly. But nevertheless, the bright and colourful fireworks just lit up the sky in a beautiful manner. It was a wonderful ending to a wonderful day celebrating the freedom and independence of this great nation, the United States of America.
